Stoltzfus Out-Fits' All At 2013 Senior Showmanship Contest
Ashley Stoltzfus of Berlin, Pa., rose to the top of her class in the senior division of the Youth Showmanship contest on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the 2013 All-American Dairy Show held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show and Expo Center in Harrisburg.
The event, in its 16th year, boasted a record 476 junior exhibitors ranging from age eight to 21. Each division required several heats, followed by a semifinal round and a final class. Participants hailed from 15 states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and California.
The top 10 senior showmen competed for the coveted master showman title by clipping and fitting heifer calves in one hour. Top Showman selected at the show was Haley Groat, 20, of Walton, N.Y.
Champion Senior received a $250 cash award courtesy of Centre-Clinton Holstein Association while Top Senior Showman received a $50 cash award donated by Rip-N-Good Kids.
Allen VanGorder of Little Falls, N.Y., was the senior division showmanship judge, while Tom Uber of Adamsville, Pa., judged the fitting portion of the competition.

Iager Leads the Way in Showmanship Contest
Madison Iager, Woodbine, Md., landed the Champion Intermediate Showman title during the Premier National Junior Events youth showmanship contest on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the 2013 All-American Dairy Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.
Celebrating its 16th year, the event hosted a record 476 junior exhibitors from ages eight to 21. Each division held several heats, followed by a semifinal round and a final class. Participants hailed from 15 states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and California.
In addition to the showmanship title, Iager also took home the honor of Highest Placing Red & White in the event.
Champion Intermediate Showman received a $100 cash award and custom embroidered director's chair.
Laura Elliott of Littlestown, Pa., judged the event.

Woodbine Winkler Wins Junior Showmanship Title
Exhibitor Jeffrey Winkler of Woodbine, Md., made his way to the top of the class to win the Junior Showmanship title during the Premier National Junior Events youth showmanship contest on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the 2013 All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg.

In addition to securing the overall showmanship title, Winkler also took home Highest-Placing Ayrshire honors.
