SARBACKER NAMED SUMMER PROGENY PROMOTION INTERN

ABS Global, Inc. has named Benjamin Sarbacker the Progeny Promotions Intern for the 2011 summer season. "We are very excited to have Ben join the ABS Progeny Promotions team this summer. His interest in dairy genetics and past experience through internships and his family's farm will allow him to excel in this position," stated Josey Morris, U.S. Progeny Promotions Supervisor. Sarbacker grew up on his family's Registered Holstein farm, Fischerdale Holsteins, located in Verona, Wisconsin. Currently in his fourth year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying Dairy Science with a business emphasis, Sarbacker was a key player on the Dairy Judging Team, and placed 13th individual overall at the All-American Judging Contest at World Dairy Expo in 2010. He supported his team's first place overall finish, and second place team recognition in oral reasons. Along with his experience on the farm, Sarbacker has held previous internships with Accelerated Genetics as a Genetic Service Intern, and has served as a Cattle Photographer Assistant with Semex USA and International Protein Sires. In these roles he located progeny for photos and tour groups, worked on the picturing crew and hosted international and domestic tour groups, including coordinating travel itinerary. As the Progeny Promotions Intern, Sarbacker will be responsible for tracking and preparing ABS Global progeny for picturing opportunities. He will also help to coordinate daughter tours.
