System 350 Automatic Steering Technology Now Available Through AGCO's Dealer Network

Convenient state-of-the-art precision auto-steer technology offers producers new levels of data management, ease of operation, customization and flexibility AGCO, Your Agriculture Company (NYSE:AGCO), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, is pleased to announce the availability of System 350 Automatic Steering through AGCO's North American dealer network. The System 350 features a new X30 all-in-one control console that gives operators an entirely new level of precision accuracy, dependability, flexibility and ease of use beyond what they've come to expect from other steering systems in the market. "Since auto-steer systems were first introduced to the market, producers have quickly recognized the advantages the technology brings to their farming operations," explains Marlin Melander, technology marketing specialist with Advanced Technology Solutions at AGCO. "Auto-steer technology reduces expensive swath overlap and collects valuable information that can help increase work efficiency and reduce input costs. The System 350 takes those benefits to an unprecedented level to further increase productivity and make it even easier to manage field-by-field information." The System 350 Automatic Steering includes boundary and U-turn recognition features that allow operators to easily complete turns and lock onto the next swath. The System 350's guidance dashboard provides on-screen indicators for area applied, speed, row number and satellite information while it builds a color coverage map that the operator can review to make adjustments that can help increase productivity of the work at hand. The System 350 also can be easily moved from one vehicle to the next. X30 control console takes automatic steering systems to the next level At the core of the System 350 is an X30 all-in-one control console that provides a wealth of control and display options, making it easy for the operator to monitor machine activity at a glance via multiple sensors on the machine. The X30 control console has enhanced data management features with multiple options for input and output of valuable field-by-field information that can be stored and used to create detailed job summary reports for tracking and multiyear analysis. The console features a 12.1-inch, multi-touch screen with crisp, high-resolution graphics that are easy to see even in bright sunlight. The easy-to-use icon-based setup screen on the X30 console lets the operator configure the system to the specific needs of the job, rather than being restricted by preset parameters of the terminal. In addition, the System 350 does not limit producers to fixed patterns that may not be ideal for their specific field. Instead, the System 350's intuitive software program allows operators to quickly create and follow the most efficient guidance for each field regardless of its shape. Automatic coverage maps can be used to track the area covered by the vehicle so producers can easily identify missed areas or areas of overlap. The multi-touch screen also allows operators to drag and drop information or pan across multiple screens with a simple swipe of the fingertip. Producers who require centimeter (RTK) accuracy simply need to plug an RTK Snap-in Module into the System 350 AGI-3 receiver. The Snap-in module includes an internal 915 MHz radio for receiving data from a Topcon HiPer AG radio base station or a US GSM cell modem. The internal radio receives RTK correction signals, plus enhanced inertials, for improved compensation on rolling terrain. Included with the RTK Snap-in module is a port for inserting a cellular SIM card, making it possible to use correction signals from a cellular-based network such as a Continually Operating Reference Station (CORS) network, which provides an alternative for operators needing RTK correction.
