Sale managers Ed Fellers and Jeff Butler announce the 4th edition of the highly successful International Intrigue Sale to be held August 4, 2012 in Chebanse, IL. Sale hosts will be Butlerview Farms and Elite Dairy Genomics. "The Intrigue sales series has been extremely successful in its four-year run," said manager Ed Fellers. "Our first edition of the Intrigue was held at the beautiful Wisconsin facility of MilkSource Genetics in Kaukauna. And we've been fortunate enough to spend the last two years at two Master Breeder herds in Canada – Mapel Wood in 2010 and Ferme Blondin in 2011. Last year's event was topped by Rockymountain Talent Licorice who sold for $420,000." Keeping up with tradition, the 2012 sale will feature lots of high genomic females, including a strong lineup of fresh cows. Visitors will also be treated to a pre-sale social and open house at Butlerview, where they can see such legendary cows as Regancrest S Chassity (2011 Global Cow of the Year), last year's sale topper Licorice, Ms Atlees Goldwyn Ariel, Regancrest Brasilia and Ms Dundee Belinda, to name a few. "We are excited to welcome people back to Butlerview this summer for the International Intrigue," said farm owner and co-manager of Butler Fellers Auctions Inc., Jeff Butler. "What an exceptional opportunity for breeders all over the world to come together and participate in what looks to be another industry-leading sale." More details will be available as sale time approaches. Be sure to check advertisements in HolsteinWorld and Cowsmopolitan magazines, as well as online at www.butlerview.com. 1.11.2012
