Select Sires logoEast Central/Select Sires held their annual awards banquet on June 1, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza in Madison, Wis. The evening consisted of a social hour, dinner, a message from the board of directors and presentation of the performance and service awards.

Dave Placke of Cuba City took home the top prize of the evening being named Area Sales Manager (ASM) of the Year. He was also honored for earning the highest Personal Total Unit Percent Increase, Area Total Unit Percent Increase, Area DH Unit Percent Increase, and Area Diversified Product Percent Sales Increase. Placke provides artificial insemination services and offers semen along with product sales to both dairy and beef producers in parts of Lafayette, Grant, Crawford, Richland, and Iowa counties.

Runner-up ASM of the Year was Dave Sime, was honored in the categories of Area Total Unit Percent Increase, Area DH Unit Percent Increase, and Area Diversified Product Percent Increase. Brian Kelroy of Marshall was honored with having Area Direct Herd Unit Volume, Area Total Unit Volume, and Personal Total Unit Volume. Kelroy and Sime are both ASMs at East Central/Select Sires.

Bob Boatman of Darlington was honored with the Member Service Representative (MSR) of the Year Award. Boatman received several honors that contributed to him earning MSR of the Year, including 30 Years of Service with East Central/Select Sires and for reaching his 150,000 first services milestone. Boatman provides artificial insemination services and offers semen along with product sales to dairy and beef producers in northern Green and Southwestern Dane counties.

Mohammad Touir of Madison received the Runner-up of MSR of the Year. Touir was also awarded Outstanding Effort-MSR, Large Herd Specialist for 2012-2013, Semen Blend Percent Increase, and 10,000 first services. Touir provides artificial insemination services and offers semen and product sales to dairy and beef producers in Rock and Walworth counties.

The Outstanding Effort Awards are given to employees who go above and beyond the call of duty every day. The Outstanding Effort Award for an MSR was presented to Mohammed Touir of Madison. Dennis Gunst of Theresa received the Outstanding Effort Award for Relief MSRs. The Outstanding Effort Award for Other Employees was presented to Eric Olstadof Stoughton.
