Dairy producers are encouraged to optimize their opportunities and attend the 2012 Illinois Dairy Summit. Three regional meetings are scheduled – Jan. 31 in Centralia, Feb. 1 in Bloomington, and Feb. 2 in Freeport. Each meeting will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At each meeting, speakers from the University of Illinois, Pfizer Animal Health, the Illinois Milk Producers Association and the Midwest Dairy Association will explore many topics, including strategic feeding, forage intake and lower greenhouse gas production. Registration before Jan. 20 is $12 and after Jan. 20 is $15 and can be mailed to the Illinois Milk Producers Association.
