Details to be released at Commodity Classic news conference

Pioneer logo
Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, will unveil on-farm yield results and research discoveries that help improve hybrid performance in water-limiting environments at this year's Commodity Classic.

The news conference, titled "Innovations in Drought Tolerance: Delivering Rain or Shine," will feature Pioneer research innovations in drought-tolerant corn hybrids, 2011 performance data on Optimum® AQUAmaxTM hybrids, and improved management options for growers.

Drought stress has been an ongoing challenge to high corn yields in many corn-producing areas of North America. Currently using dedicated research sites - located in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, California and North Carolina - Pioneer research has more than doubled the number of bushels per inches of water during the past three decades.

News conference participants will have an opportunity to hear more about Pioneer's efforts to deliver yield advantages in water-limited environments from Jeff Schussler, senior research manager.
