Ali K. Enerson joined the Hoard's Dairyman editorial staff as Special Publications Editor in May 2013. She is in charge of Hoard's Dairyman books, plans and other dairy resources available for purchase. Ali is also responsible for the new Hoard's Dairyman Intel e-newsletter distribution and various internal communication pieces.

She most recently worked for BouMatic as global events manager where she directed all corporate global and regional tradeshows, meetings and events. In her three years at BouMatic, Ali also worked in public relations and product management where she orchestrated global launch plans for many new products, redesigned and maintained the dealer website, and wrote and distributed bi-weekly dealer e-newsletters. Prior to BouMatic, Ali worked for a data-marketing firm as a sales assistant for Dow AgroSciences in Raleigh, N.C.

Ali grew up on her family's 60-cow dairy farm in Hammond, Wis., in the northwestern part of the state. Her dad currently operates the farm and she remains active on the family operation, milking cows and helping with fieldwork when able.

In 2008, Ali graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison where she majored in life sciences communication with a dairy and business emphasis. In college, she was an active member of the Badger Dairy Club, the Association of Women in Agriculture and was a CALS (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) Ambassador. Ali also held various positions with the UW-Madison National Agri-Marketing Association throughout her college career, including president and marketing team captain from 2007 to 2008. She remains a member of the professional National Agri-Marketing Association today and just recently retired her duties as the communications chair.
