American Guernsey Association The American Guernsey Association has announced that their Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Dave Trotter as the Interim Executive Secretary and Dr. Morey Miller as the Interim General Manager for Purebred Publishing following the resignation of Seth Johnson earlier this month.

"I am confident that both gentlemen have the drive and determination to lead the AGA and Purebred Publishing through this transition. Their past involvement will provide stability and continuity while the search for Johnson's replacement is underway," stated AGA Vice-President, Emily Hartmann.

Mr. Trotter has served as a member of the AGA Board of Directors for the last four years and has led the group as their President for the last three years. "I am extremely excited to be able to have this opportunity to give back to the Guernsey breed and work with the breeders as the AGA begins this new path to a bright future," stated Trotter.

Dave recently celebrated his retirement after a 27 year career with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture as a Milk Sanitarian and FDA Rating Officer.

Dr. Morey Miller will also be assisting in the transition as the Interim General Manager for Purebred Publishing, a subsidiary of the American Guernsey Association. Dr. Miller is currently serving his fourth term as a member of AGA Board of Directors and has spearheaded the Purebred Publishing Board of Directors for the last four years as their President.

Both gentlemen will be working closely with newly appointed AGA Treasurer Lee Kohler as they move forward in these positions.

AGA Board of Directors look to have a new Executive Secretary in place by their 2014 National Guernsey Convention which will be held June 26 -30 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
The American Guernsey Association is the national organization that represents the breeders and individuals who have a strong interest in the Guernsey cattle. The Association headquarters are located in Columbus, Ohio.
