National Dairy Shrine Elects New President and Directors

National Dairy Shrine Board of Directors

At the 67th annual meeting of the National Dairy Shrine, Alicia Lamb of Oakfield, New York was elected President of the organization. Meanwhile, Dan Bernick of Long Grove, Iowa was chosen as President-Elect. Elected to the Executive Committee along with Lamb and Bernick were: Jim Dickrell, Monticello, MN., Nate Janssen, Wheaton, IL., Larry Schirm, Laurelville, OH., and immediate past president David Pierson, Lake City, MN.

The new 2016-2017 National Dairy Shrine board of directors includes Tim Abbott, Enosberg, VT., Fowler Branstetter, Edmonton, KY., Joe Domecq, East Lansing, MI., Dennis Funk, Sun Prairie, WI., Randy Gross Sr., Elkton, SD., Joel Hastings, Fresno, CA., Stan Henderson, Paso Robles, CA., Matt Iager, Boonsboro, MD., Karen Knutsen, Bow, WA., James Krahn, Veronia, OR., Jenny Mills, Canastota, NY., Dan Schimek, Eagle Lake, MN., Marci Walker, Wisconsin Dells, WI., Gail Yeiser, Arnold, MD., and Leah Ziemba, Madison, WI. At their annual board meeting the National Dairy Shrine directors approved the continuation of fulfilling the mission of the early founders.

At the National Dairy Shrine’s annual banquet, over $58,000 in scholarships and awards were awarded to 43 outstanding young people. This year’s National Dairy Shrine Awards banquet was attended by 350 Dairy Shrine members, dairy leaders, friends and relatives.
