Cal Poly State University

Elise Regusci
Elise Regusci served as the 29th Hoard’s Dairyman summer editorial intern. As part of our team, Elise contributed weekly to our HD Notebook blog, compiled the top 50 dairy co-ops list, helped prepare the 2017 World Dairy Expo supplement, wrote the Farm Flash page, and prepare other articles for the magazine based on farm visits and meetings she attended.

She grew up in Modesto, Calif. The Regusci family milks around 100 Holsteins and Brown Swiss. They also grow almonds, corn, hay, pumpkins, and walnuts.

Elise is currently a student at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, Calif., where she is majoring in dairy science with a minor in agricultural communications. On campus, Elise is active with the Los Lecheros Dairy Club. She also competes on the university’s dairy judging team.

After graduation, she would like to work in public relations or communications within agriculture. One day, Elise would also like to own a herd of Brown Swiss and Holsteins with her siblings.
