The free week-long celebration November 12 thru the 19 includes tours of the facility, new wine releases, wine pairings with gourmet chocolates and Wisconsin Cheeses. The new 6,000 square foot facility houses the winery's entire winemaking process - from crush to bottle - and features a new spacious tasting room, wine store and relaxing sun-drenched patio for people of all ages.

Come, sip and celebrate the grand opening of Vetro Winery with third generation wine owners, Bill and LaVerne Vetrano and the Vetrano family, whose deep roots in wine making date back to a family tradition started in Sicily more than 100 years ago.

"Enjoy the ultimate free tasting experience of our 16 locally produced award-winning fine wines in celebration of our grand opening at Sanctuary Ridge," says LaVerne Vetrano, along with her husband, wine maker Bill Vetrano, owners of Vetro Winery. "It's a celebration for wine and food enthusiasts. Guests will savor our robust reds to semi-sweet fragrant white wines that have been paired with Wisconsin cheeses, gourmet inspired chocolates using Vetro Wine and specialty breads."

During wine tastings, meet third generation winemaker Bill Vetrano and the Vetrano family, stroll through the gift shop to find unique, one-of-kind items for the wine lover on your holiday list from wine and cheese baskets, to wine racks, magnets, t-shirts and more.

While tasting sensational varieties of local wines savoring the sweet flavor of fresh products, you can sip for a cause. The Vetrano family welcomes guests to join in supporting Special Olympics, an organization that is close to their hearts as Bill and LaVerne's grandson was born with Down syndrome and is now a healthy 8 year-old boy. Any donation for the complimentary wine tasting is welcomed with all contributions going to Special Olympics. Last year, Vetro Winery gave more than $1,000 to Special Olympics.

The week-long celebration will feature daily wine specials, samples, serenity, and more, including:

• Sat. Nov. 12 - Ribbon Cutting at Noon with Vetrano family, dignitaries and debut of the Vetro's Riesling Wine. Special guest, Branyan, Vetrano's grandson who was born with Down syndrome and is now a healthy boy, will cut the ribbon. Guided tours at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. allows you to go behind-the-scenes to learn the making of fruit wines.
• Sun. Nov. 13 - Grape Day, $1 off any Vetro Grape Wines.
• Tues., Nov. 15 - Senior Day, 55 years and older show ID and receive $1 off any Vetro Wine.
• Wed., Nov. 16 - Winesday, $1 off Vetro Wap-a-tu-e Wine, a semi-dry blush.
• Thurs., Nov. 17 - Come for Thirsty Thursday and save $1 off all Vetro Berry Wines.
• Fri., Nov. 18 - Get ready for the Holidays with a $1 off Winter Spirit Hill, a semi-dry, award winning red wine made with Wisconsin cranberries, strawberries and special grapes. The perfect complement to serve for upcoming holiday celebrations.
• Sat. Nov. 19 - Vetro Winery releases Lil' Sassy Strawberry, a delectable chocolate strawberry wine.

New store hours Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will offer more time to enjoy wine tasting and samples.

The Vetrano family celebrates a decade of wine-making experience with the opening of a bright, colorful new building, which features captivating views over woods and marshland. Using grapes grown from their vineyard, Vetro Wines have earned honors for its family recipe the very first time entering wine in the Dallas International Wine Competition winning a silver medal out of 3,600-plus entries.
