DuPont Pioneer would like to invite you to the 2012 Virtual Dairy Farm Tour featuring VanEss Dairy on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in Mendota 1 meeting room in the Exhibition Hall. The daily virtual farm tours are free for all Expo attendees.

The VanEss Dairy has seen many changes over the last 60 years, moving from Washington to Idaho, and then again from Idaho to Iowa in 2008. Today, the dairy is located in northwest Iowa with 3,800 cows and 260 tillable acres. With limited tillable acres, the VanEss family contracts their corn silage but maintains control of the harvest to help ensure better quality.

Stop by to learn more about the multi-generation family operation and how they utilize high quality forages to lower input/feed costs and optimize nutrition.
