DelPro Farm Manager is a revolutionary herd management platform integrating all DeLaval milking, feeding and automation systems together in one centralized system. For the first time in the U.S, DeLaval demonstrated the system to visitors at World Ag Expo in Tulare, Ca.

Features include everything from the creation of automatic vet lists and herd and milking system summary reports to timed artificial insemination and feed ration calculations. DelPro Farm Manager also allows herd managers to customize their working protocols within the software program.

"We realize the hardships many producers have faced due to drought, high cost of feed and low milk prices. The ability to make sound business decisions has never been more critical. That's why we're introducing DelPro Farm Manager to help producers manage risk, optimize returns and improve efficiency," said Mats Stellnert, Marketing Manager of Capital Goods & Farm Management for DeLaval Inc.

The flexible system works equally well with DeLaval Voluntary Milking System (VMS™) and rotary, stanchion, parallel and herringbone parlors. This means that farmers can change, add or upgrade their milking equipment without having to change farm management software, thus retaining their existing herd database.

DelPro Farm Manager can handle a large amount of data at very fast processing speeds making the system robust enough for extra-large herds. DeLaval will continue to make upgrades to the system adding functionality like co-existence where, for example, a dairy producer with two different types of DeLaval milking systems can manage both systems simultaneously making herd management easier and more comprehensive.

DeLaval will also introduce IDD (Interactive Data Display) – a touchscreen designed to conveniently display herd data when and where it's needed like in the sort or special needs areas, a hospital barn or in the parlor. It's built to withstand the challenges of a farm environment.

DelPro Farm Manager will be available to customers in North America in quarter two of 2013. Customers currently operating with ALPRO software from DeLaval will be able to upgrade to the new system.
