Wisconsin FFAThe Wisconsin FFA Foundation announces the final call for participants in the 2013 Wisconsin FFA Foundation golf outings. The final registration deadline is July 10, but participants signed up by May 20 will be entered to win a customized Wisconsin FFA Foundation Carhartt® jacket.

The 2013 fundraising golf outings are slated for July 22 in Eau Claire, Wis., July 23 in Wrightstown, Wis., and July 29 in Middleton, Wis.

"Our annual golf outings are the largest fundraising event for the Wisconsin FFA Foundation," says Sara Schoenborn, Wisconsin FFA Foundation executive director. "Company representatives and industry supporters look forward to the outings each year as they are able to support the future of agriculture while enjoying a friendly round of golf."

The annual golf outings are an 18-hole, best-ball scramble format for teams of four golfers. Per golfer registration fees are $80 and include 18 holes of golf, cart rental, breakfast and lunch and the opportunity for awards and door prizes. Individuals unable to join the golf tournament are welcome to join in the fun at the awards luncheon for $15.

The events are open to the public and will each feature a celebrity guest. Celebrity guests are as follows: July 22: Bob Bosold, farm director at WAXX 104.5 Radio; July 23: Mike Austin, farm services director for WTAQ Radio; and July 29: Pam Jahnke, farm director for the Wisconsin Farm Report.

All proceeds from the golf outings will support Wisconsin FFA's annual fund, which is the heartbeat of Wisconsin FFA and agricultural education's financial support. The annual fund provides consistent resources to core programming and career preparation activities as well as any urgent needs that arise.

This year, the Wisconsin FFA Foundation is offering another way to show supporter pride through a Wisconsin FFA Foundation Carhartt® promotion. All individuals entered to participate in the golf outings by May 20 will be entered for a chance to win a customized Wisconsin FFA Foundation Carhartt® jacket.
