"We are grateful to have had close to 300 golfers and 45 sponsors involved in our outings this year. Their contributions aid our Wisconsin FFA members in furthering their leadership development and career preparation," says Sara Schoenborn, Wisconsin FFA Foundation Executive Director.

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association was the first-ever presenting sponsor of the southern golf outing. Activity sponsors at the outings included AgStar Financial Services, Chippewa Valley Grain/Custer Farms Inc., Eau Claire Ford, Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association, Landmark Cooperative Services, Sauk Prairie FFA & FFA Alumni and Xcel Energy Inc. Additionally, there were 39 hole sponsors.

Proceeds from the 2013 golf outings totaled $23,000 and will support Wisconsin FFA's annual fund, which is the heartbeat of Wisconsin FFA and agricultural education's financial support. During the 2012-13 year, the annual fund supplemented 17 Proficiency Award areas and Career Development Events. The annual fund also aided in the 2013-14 state officer team training and leadership training materials.

The 2014 golf outing dates have been set: northwest outing – July 21; northeast outing – July 22; and southern outing – July 28. The mail-in registration form and all up-to-date information is available on the events tab at www.wisconsinffafoundation.org.
