The Grand Champion and Senior Champion of the 2011 International Holstein Show was Eastside Lewisdale Gold Missy. Missy was also a World Dairy Expo class winner in 2009 as well as Reserve Intermediate Champion that year. In November of 2009, Missy sold for $1.2 million in the Royal Sale for Morsan Farms. This winning 5 year old is owned by Morsan, Van Ruinen Dairy, Mark Butz, Georges Uebelhardt, and Gert Andreasen of Alberta, Canada.


Reserve Senior Champion and Honorable Mention Grand Champion was Rockymountain Talent Licorice-ET, exhibited by Jeff Butler, Frank & Diane Borba, Joe and Amber Price, Leo and Chris Durrer, Julio Fernandes, and Elite Dairy Genomics of Chebanse, Illinois. This winning 4 year old was bred by RockyMountain Holsteins of Alberta, Canada. She had a sale purchase price tag of $420,000 at the International Intrigue Sale this summer.
The Honorable Mention Senior Champion was Dubeau Dundee Hezbollah, the second place four year old. Hezbollah was exhibited by St. Jacobs, Clark Woodmansee, and Peter Vail of Vermont. The Reserve Intermediate Champion was a familiar animal, Craigcrest Rubies Gold Rejoice, the junior champion from World Dairy Expo in 2010. This Senior two year old was bred and owned by Craigcrest Holsteins of Ontario, Canada. The Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion was also a homebred winner, Rosedale Lexington. This Goldwyn junior three year old is bred and owned by Rosedale Genetics of Wisconsin.

Another homebred honoree, Siemers Alisha Gold Ava-ETS was awarded the Nasco Type and Production Award. She exhibited in the five year old class and was named Grand Champion of the International Junior Show earlier in the week with Jordan Siemers of Wisconsin at the halter.


With Grand Champion honors to his credit and countless other top finishes, Semex's Braedale Goldwyn earned Premier Sire honors. On the strength of the Honorable Mention Grand Champion and her winning best three females contemporaries, RockyMountain Holsteins of Alberta was the runner-up Premier Breeder to Ferme Jacobs of Quebec, Canada. In the Premier Exhibitor competition, MilkSource of Wisconsin was runner-up to Quebec's Mario Comtois of Gen-Com Holsteins.

Wisconsin was awarded the State Herd award, followed by Quebec and Ontario.

A packed coliseum witnessed the International Holstein Show and it certainly was a highlight of World Dairy Expo for several attendees.
