Travel Opportunities:
CREAM, Dairy cattle selection and Advanced Dairy Management 1 and 2 tour commercial dairies as part of their curriculum. New England Dairy Travel course spends 5 days visiting farms within the New England region and outside the region. Students participate in Dairy Challenge (both regional and national). In the Advanced dairy management Course students perform critical reviews of a commercial farm’s management and then share their suggestions with the producer.
Additional Information:
Dairy students work at the Deerfield Fair Ice Cream booth with Granite State Dairy promotion. The UNH dairy Management program is part of the New England regional program. Students from other New England states except CT can attend UNH for 1.5 X New Hampshire resident tuition.
