Midwest Dairy Association has appointed an intern in Minnesota to help carry out its efforts during the summer. The organization’s intern program is designed to not only assist in checkoff-funded programming, but also to provide students with experience with the dairy industry and its efforts to build trust and sales.
Growing up on her family’s 250-cow dairy farm fostered Sabolik’s passion for the dairy industry. She served as a Douglas County Dairy Princess in 2015 and expanded her knowledge about Midwest Dairy Association. Sabolik’s activities at college include Enactus, a business service club, and a reporter for the school’s newspaper, The Circuit.
Sabolik hopes to expand her social media experience and hone her writing skills throughout the summer internship. She’s looking forward to gaining valuable communication experience while advocating for dairy farm families.
The internship began in mid-May and will last through the Minnesota State Fair. The organization also provides internships in Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas.
