Select Sires unveiled a new “Impact Sires of the Breed” artwork to attendees of their National Sales Conference in Columbus, Ohio earlier this month.

Impact Sires of the Breed

The newest edition represents the Holstein breed’s greatest impact sires from this decade, including ten most influential daughter-proven sires and the two most dominating genomic sires for elite ranking sons and daughters. The new print features: 7HO11314 MOGUL, 7HO12165 MONTROSS, 7HO11351 SUPERSIRE, 7HO12600 MODESTY, 7HO13250 JEDI, 7HO10721 BOOKEM, 7HO11477 MCCUTCHEN, 7HO12198 KINGBOY, 7HO10506 G W ATWOOD, 7HO10920 GOLD CHIP, 7HO9264 DEMPSEY and 7HO10524 ROBUST.

“These great sires represent the best genetics in the breed today and offer our customers genetics that are a cut above the competition,” says Charlie Will, Holstein sire analyst at Select Sires.

“ROBUST is located in a prominent spot, reflecting his dominance in today’s pedigrees. The artwork depicts not one, not two, but three generations of great impact sires,” Will continues. MOGUL heads two of the three, with his son MONTROSS, and his grandson, JEDI. MOGUL’s other grandson, MODESTY, is the new generation genomic impact sire. Also making a three peat is BOOKEM, his son MCCUTCHEN and grandson, KINGBOY. Rounding out the artwork with three of the breeds greatest type sires of their time is G W ATWOOD, DEMPSEY and GOLD CHIP.
