It is no secret that dairy is a unique business, requiring creativity, audacity, perseverance and a steady business mind. The Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) are taking the 2018 PDPW Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals™ to one of the most unique locations on earth — Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 16-18, 2018.

Together, with 100 like-minded dairy professionals, learn from experts on how to keep the magic and passion of dairying in a business culture. The three-day executive training is designed for dairy owners and managers, industry directors, processors, marketers and distributors from around the nation.

The 2018 program will be led by two world-class trainers: Lee Cockerell, former Executive Vice President of Operations for the Walt Disney World Resort, and Dr. David Kohl, a Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech, President of AgriVisions, LLC, and a part-owner of Homestead Creamery in Virginia. Together, they will present best practices for building a culture of excellence, and connect those practices with real-world trends.

Attendees will participate in a behind-the-scenes look of one of the Disney parks to talk with cast members and managers about employee attitudes, turnover, recruitment and team development. Attendees will also tour the Orlando Easterly Wetlands, a manmade wetlands habitat created by the City of Orlando to reuse reclaimed water.

The 2018 PDPW Managers Academy for Dairy Professionals is brought to you by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, Progressive Dairyman, Rabo AgriFinance, Zinpro and PDPW.
