Southwest Wisconsin agribusiness, Fuller’s Milker Center, Inc., was founded in 1953 and began its energy efficiency journey with FOCUS ON ENERGY® eight years ago. Since then, the dairy service provider has demonstrated an impressive commitment to reducing energy waste for its customers.

The company’s dedication to improving energy efficiency earned it one of Focus on Energy’s 2020 Energy Efficiency Excellence Awards, presented in partnership with Fuller’s utility providers, Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative and We Energies. The awards honor Focus on Energy customers who have shown a commitment to leading in energy efficiency.

“Fuller’s Milker Center has been providing exceptional services to the agricultural community for many years,” said Ron Jentz from Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative. “They are a relied upon source by our members and local area surrounding communities.”

As a Focus on Energy Trade Ally contractor, Fuller’s provides assistance, resources and equipment to lead customers down an energy-efficient path. In the past eight years, the agribusiness has helped over 165 customers increase their energy savings through Focus on Energy’s agribusiness multiple equipment bonus.

Fuller’s helped customers install numerous energy-efficient technologies and maximize their savings and financial incentives. The dairy services provider completed applications for all eligible customers and gathered their signatures for the invoice to ensure they could participate in the bonus offering and receive incentives from Focus on Energy.

In addition, the company communicated regularly with the Focus on Energy team and its customers to effectively promote the multiple equipment bonus to potential agribusiness customers. Fuller’s also encourages the use of energy-efficient technologies in its advertisements promoting precoolers, LED lighting, air compressor tune ups and more.

Fuller’s was nominated for the Excellence Award by its Energy Advisor from Focus on Energy, Jessica Mlsna. Mlsna recognized the agribusiness’ continuous efforts to help its customers reduce their carbon footprint and inspire energy efficiency initiatives throughout its community.

Focus on Energy is working with utility companies across the state throughout September and October to present Energy Efficiency Excellence Awards to 14 outstanding businesses.

Focus on Energy partners with 107 utilities across the state to offer energy expertise and financial incentives to residents and businesses that choose to reduce energy waste. A third-party evaluation last year revealed Wisconsin runs the most cost-effective energy efficiency programs in the nation, in terms of energy savings per dollar spent. A separate evaluation released this year found every $1 invested in Focus on Energy generates $4.80 in benefits for Wisconsin, including economic benefits, reduced energy costs and reduced pollution.
