Vierra Dairy’s cow is on a two-year winning streak.

Stoney Point Joel Bailey, the winning Six-Year-Old and Older cow owned by Vierra Dairy Farms of Hilmar, Calif., hit the winning jackpot this year as she won Grand Champion of the International Jersey Show for a second year in a row. Official judge Ryan Krohlow of Poynette, Wis., and his associate judge Jean-Phillippe Charest of St. Alexandre, Quebec, Canada sorted through the 392 Jersey entries this year as Bailey came out on top. “These cows never move a muscle; they are so comfortable,” admired Krohlow. Following in reserve was the winning Five-Year-Old, Spring View Joel Kinsley owned by Budjon Farms and Peter and Lyn Vail of Lomira, Wis.

For Intermediate Champion, Senior Three-Year-Old GMBV-Joel Dixie-ET shown by Milksource Genetics of Kaukauna, Wis., snatched the win, while Reserve Intermediate Champion was awarded to the Junior Three-Year-Old, Pacific Edge VIP Tessah. Tessah, who is owned by Brent Rocha and Colton Seals of Tillamook, Ore., also captured the Grand Champion title in the Junior Show.

Senior champion of the Junior Show was awarded to Rolling Spring Premier Lucille-ET, the winning Lifetime Cheese Production Cow for Evan Jauquet of Pulaski, Wis. Miss Ronde Rosabella, a Six-Year-Old and Older cow, was the Reserve Senior Champion for Mia Smith and Kamrie Mauer of Elroy, Wis.

Summer Yearling Schulte Bros Colton Fallon owned by David Hoese and Schulte Bros., of Glencoe, Minn., gained bragging rights as the Junior Champion and Best Bred and Owned. Reserve Junior Champion was awarded to Ratliff Rock & Roll Rum, owned by Ron and Christy Ratliff, Austin Kopecky, and Kyle Natzke of Fond du Lac, Wis.

The Premier Sire award was given to Guimo Joel-ET, with Mr. Kathies Kid Rock winning the Premier Sire award in the Heifer Show. There was a tie for the Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor awards between Pacific Edge and Misty Meadows Dairy, both of Tillamook, Ore.

“The cattle at this show are second to none,” Krohlow said in closing.
