Stetson grew up on a ranch/feedlot in Washington where he managed the brood cow division of the farm with his father. They also grew corn and hay, and cultivated pasture ground.
"I wanted to be part of the All West team for one simple reason I love working with animals. While the cost of going to school to become a veterinarian was out of my reach, I knew I could still work with animals and learn a ton about reproductive management. My brother-in-law works for All West, also as a technician, and he helped me get an opportunity to learn more about A.I. Since then, I've enjoyed everything about the job, from working side-by-side with our dairy producers, improving my A.I. techniques and sharpening herd management skills."
"I've set a personal goal with my career to help my customers develop the most profitable cattle they can, by making cows that produce more milk, at a higher standard. I always want to help improve pregnancy rates. The more we can help our customers be profitable, the better it is for them, for us and the whole dairy industry."
When not breeding cows, Stetson enjoys team roping, playing in a men's softball league, exploring in the mountains, and of course, farming.
Stetson started work with All West/Select Sires in the spring.
