AgSource Laboratories is pleased to announce Tim Boerner has accepted the position of Nutrient Management Plan Specialist. Boerner comes to AgSource with 28 years of diverse experience in the agronomy field. His most recent experience has been in nutrient management planning, consulting producers in every stage of the growing season from planning and planting to harvesting. "Tim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the growing Nutrient Management Plan portion of our business," says Steve Peterson, AgSource Laboratories Northern Region Vice President. "Tim is a rare find in our industry, and we are truly excited that he has joined our team." In his new role, Tim will develop annual crop plans and write nutrient management plans, which include setting up GPS grid soil sampling, tracking crop growth, and establishing nutrient levels. With a focus on clients in the northwest corner of Wisconsin, he will work directly with producers and crop consultants to help maximize customer efficiency and profitability. Boerner received a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and he continues to further his education through certifications. He holds certifications as a Certififed Crop Advisor (CCA), Comprehensive Nutrient Management Planner, and Licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator. Boerner currently lives in Marion, Wis. and enjoys spending time gardening, fishing, camping, and hiking. He is an active USDA Earth Team volunteer and a member of the Gillett FFA Alumni Chapter.
