"As advances are made in both technology and animal care practices, it's important that we continue to offer innovative solutions to our producers as their needs change." says Dan Ellsworth, President & CEO of ANIMART "We're happy to have Dr. Angie on board. As a recent graduate, she brings a fresh perspective of veterinary medicine to the clients of ANIMART."
Dr. Garavet completed her undergraduate education at University of Wisconsin Madison, where she received a B.S. in Animal Science and went on to graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. She completed her clinical studies at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine, where she had the opportunity to experience different dairies through externships.
"I'm very excited to join the ANIMART team." said Garavet. "As a new grad, I have a zealous passion for continual learning. I believe my deep commitment of service to producers will help me to be a great addition to this progressive company."
A native of Wisconsin, Dr. Angie grew up in Waukesha and describes herself as a true Sconnie' girl, which includes being a huge fan of the Packers and the Badgers. As a part of the famed UW Madison Marching Band, she was able to attend nearly every home football game. She's looking forward to taking in some games this fall.
Dr. Garavet is an active member in several associations; American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), National Mastitis Council (NMC) and Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA). While she has yet to choose a specialty, her current interests are in calf health, hoof health, transition cow management and animal welfare.
