What you need to know:
Robotic Milking Systems offer smaller herds (50-300 cows) a means of addressing labor costs and labor availability, thus aiding in long-term operations for family farms. The Bishops elected to put in four units, which fit the needs of their 200 cow herd, while allowing for future herd growth.

Robotic milking systems can also fit the operations of larger herds with a variety of options available to those producers.

All producers are encouraged to attend; this operation offers a means of observing the robots at work, and seeing how VMS Robotic milkers can fit any size herd!

Organic Valley is the handler of Chilhowee Dairy's milk, so this day also offers an opportunity for organic producers to see how this high-tech system can fit within organic production standards.

The Bishops began operation in this system on November 4. 2014.

AgCentral is very pleased to have been chosen as the Bishops' partner in this exciting new age in their dairy operation!

Please see the attachment for additional information, and please RSVP to Shane Webb at swebb@agcentral.coop, or by phone at 1-800-467-2150.
