Kemin announces new employees for agrifoods division

DES MOINES, Iowa – August 11, 2011 – Kemin welcomes Dave Heilig and Dr. James W. Kessler to the agrifoods division in North America. Dave Heilig joins Kemin as the Lysoforte™ product manager. Heilig arrives at Kemin with a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing and launching feed ingredients for animal production. Heilig has held key sales and marketing positions with Syngenta, Milk Specialties Company, Cenex/Land O Lakes, Hubbard Milling and Ralston Purina. Prior to joining Kemin, Dave served as an assistant professor at Bemidji State University and owned a consulting company focused on market analyses for the agriculture industry. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor of Science in animal science from California State Polytechnic University. Dr. James W. Kessler will serve as the poultry senior technical services manager. Previously, he spent ten years as the executive director of the Poultry Science Association. Kessler has held key positions in the poultry industry for Alpharma Inc., SmithKline Beckman Corporation, Nutrius, Inc. and Ralston Purina Company. He holds a Ph.D. and Master of Science in nutrition/biochemistry from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in animal science from Ohio State University. Kessler is the author of an extensive list of publications in professional journals and the popular press.
