Industry veteran brings knowledge of large producer needs to NPC dairy customers. Nutrition Physiology Company, LLC (NPC), has named Gene Spellman to the position of regional sales manager. In this role, Spellman will support dairy producers in Wisconsin and other Great Lakes states in their use of Bovamine® Premium Dairy Culture, the company's direct-fed microbial product for high-performance dairy herds. NPC is the North American leader in direct-fed microbial products for dairy and beef cattle. Spellman's new responsibilities include working directly with dairy producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, and other consultants, as well as with distribution companies. "Gene offers a lifetime of dairy experience, as well as several years serving some of the largest pork production operations in the United States," said Julian "Skip" Olson, D.V.M., director of dairy sales, NPC. "This combination ensures he understands the challenges that large producers face every day. Spellman worked within Pfizer Animal Health for 24 years as a territory manager, industry specialist and strategic account manager. Prior to those positions, Spellman was a livestock production specialist at Cenex Cooperatives, serving as a nutrition consultant to dairy producers. Spellman earned a bachelor's of science degree in dairy science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
