Dan Meihak, NPLC Vice-Pres. presents Dr. Roger R. Neitzel the NPLC Honorary Lifetime Membership plaque.

The National Pedigree Livestock Council (NPLC) presented Dr. Roger R. Neitzel an Honorary Lifetime Membership for Services to the Pedigreed Livestock Industry at their recent annual meeting held May 2-4, 2011 in Nashville, TN. The NPLC is the National Society of Livestock Record Associations including dairy, beef, horse & pony, sheep, goat and swine species. Neitzel and his wife Jean, attended the recognition luncheon where Dan Meihak, current NPLC Vice-President made the presentation.

Neitzel, recently retired, worked at the National Brown Swiss Association in Beloit, WI as Superintendent of Records for 31 years from 1979-2010. He also served as Interim Executive Secretary in 2009. He previously was on staff in the Dairy Department at Michigan State University, E. Lansing, MI for 9 years. He received his BS degree at UW-River Falls and MS and PhD degrees at UW-Madison. He will continue to be involved with Brown Swiss as chairman of their Historical Society Preservation Committee. Roger & Jean will continue to reside in Beloit, Wisconsin.
