Union County's Boop Wins Grand Champion with ‘Glamour'



J&K Vue Goldwyn Glamour, exhibited by Doug Boop, of Millmont, Union County, was named Grand Champion Holstein of the Premier National Junior Show, held Monday, Sept. 15, at the 2014 All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg.

Glamour was named Senior Champion by Judge Sean Johnson of Glenville, York County, prior to receiving the top honors.

Cooper Galton of Nunda, N.Y., earned Reserve Grand Champion Holstein with HappyDanny JayZ Sunday-ET. Galton also took home Reserve Senior Champion with Sunday.

Junior Champion Holstein was Savage-Leigh Alex Lacy-ET, shown by Miranda Iager, of Woodbine, Md.

Andrew Younker, of Fleetwood, Berks County, took home Reserve Champion Junior Holstein honors with Kirbyville Hezton Sugar-ET.

Lauren Nell, of Gettysburg, Adams County, received Intermediate Champion Holstein with RAN-CAN Alexander Clair-ET. The Reserve Intermediate Champion Holstein, owned by Shelby Iager, of Woodbine, Md., was Savage-Leigh ATWPL1C.

Jillian Sutton of Westminster, Md., exhibited the Best Bred and Owned, Sutton Advent Emmy.

The 2014 All-American Dairy Show features 22 shows in six days in addition to the nation's only all-dairy antiques show. Last year's event featured nearly 2,800 animals and more than 1,300 exhibitors from across the nation.
