Select Sires' GABOR Dies



Select SiresSelect Sires regrets to announce that 7HO8477 Willow-Marsh-CC GABOR-ET (EX-94-GM) died this week. A January 2009 graduate, GABOR was a customer satisfaction sire around the world. The 10-year-old bull ranks among the top 50 GTPI active A.I. sires (+2086) and is a top 10 sire for Milk (+2,348). He is the only active A.I. sire over +2,000 Milk, +2.00 Type (+2.50 Type) and +3.5 Productive Life (PL) (+5.0 PL) and transmits one of the lowest Somatic Cell Scores (SCS) (2.69) among the top production sires.

"GABOR established himself as an elite, high milk, outcross, calving ease sire that developed into the poster bull for customer satisfaction," said Blaine Crosser, vice president of dairy sire product line for Select Sires. "His tremendous genetic contribution to herds around the world has been well documented. Select Sires lost a tremendous bull this week!"

A limited amount of GABOR semen is available.
