    Travel Opportunities:


    Tours of local dairy farms are key components for several courses. With regard to management styles, the senior-level dairy management course takes a Dairy Challenge, problem-solving approach to working with local operations. Students travel for Dairy Challenge, Academic Quadrathlon, Puentes program (Central America), ADSA meetings (national and regional). Students travel internationally primarily through participation in the internship program (typically Australia or New Zealand) or Semester Abroad study programs. Recently, students have spent a study abroad semester in Switzerland, Germany, and France.

    Additional Information:


    The UWRF Dairy Club manages a consignment heifer sale every other year. Students are heavily involved with cattle selection, cattle preparation, and advertising. The College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Science features over 15 student organizations. Students participate in the Academic Quadrathlon with the winning team participating in the regional ADAS meetings in March of each year.
