A Supreme Champion Cow has been selected at World Dairy Expo since 1970. Forty-eight years later, the show introduced the Supreme Champion Heifer recognition.
Taking home the Gregory Blaska Trophy for Supreme Champion Cow was Cutting Edge T Delilah, exhibited by Kyle Barton, Copake, N.Y. Delilah was the winning 5-year-old Brown Swiss. This marks only the second time in history that a junior-owned cow has taken the Supreme Champion honors in both the Junior and Open Shows.The Holstein Grand Champion was Jacobs Lauthority Loana, owned by Ferme Jacobs and Pat Conroy of Cap-Sante, Que., Canada. She was tapped as Reserve Supreme Champion. Other Grand Champions The Champion Ayrshire was Palmyra Berkely P Ruth-ET. This 4-year-old is a back-to-back World Dairy Expo Grand Champion. Ruth is owned by Palmyra Farms and Evan Creek of Hagerstown, Md.
Willow Brook Labron Toni was the Grand Champion Guernsey. Jake Booher of West Middlesex, Penn., owned this winning 5-year old.
MB Lucky Lady Feliz Navidad-ET was the Grand Champion Jersey for Riverdale Farms of Pittsburgh, of Bulger, Pa. She topped the Four-Year-Old class.
The Milking Shorthorn Grand Champion, Maple Fudge of 12 Oaks, is owned by siblings Colton and Ashley Brandel of Lake Mills, Wis.
Oakfield A Shampagne-Red was Grand Champion Red and White after topping the Junior Three-Year-Old class for Westcoast Holsteins of Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
The Heifers . . . Winning the first-ever W. Terry Howard Trophy was the Supreme Champion Heifer. The inaugural winner was the Jersey. Milksource Gentry Marriot-ET, was the winning fall yearling for MilkSource Genetics and Finca Valparaiso of Kaukauna, Wis.
Other Junior Champions in contention . . . KnH-Endres Burdette Mayhem was the winning summer yearling and Junior Champion of the Ayrshire show. Mayhem was exhibited by Leslie and Linda Bruchey of Westminster, Md.
Junior Champion Brown Swiss was awarded to the winning spring yearling heifer, Robland Norwin Mayday, owned by Elijah Landgraf of Jackson, Mo.
The Junior Champion of the Guernsey Show was the winning fall calf, Springhill Jokes Finale-ETV, shown by Springhill Farm from Big Prairie, Ohio.
Junior Champion of the Milking Shorthorn breed was Innisfail-Wo Julius Lucy exhibited by Jeffrey McKissick and Mike Uber of New Castle, Pa.
Taking the Junior Champion banner of the Red and White Show was the fall calf, Ms Kress-Hil Saphire-Red-ET. Saphire is owned by Owen and Kendyll Kress and Savanah Barts, Newton, Wis.
