The Professional Dairy Managers of PA (PDMP) Summer Summit on August 3rd in Lancaster County, PA is packed with information, fun and networking opportunities.

"For a dairy producer, seeing all the innovation and technology at Rohrer's is like visiting Disney World," said Allen Behrer, PDMP President and dairy operator from Huntingdon County. "Not only will attendees of the Summer Summit be intrigued with the family's story of how and why they chose to expand and modernize, they will receive top tier information and education about tools and resources to improve and protect their dairy's viability."

The Summer Summit has become a premier educational and networking format for dairy producer in which they rotate between stations throughout the host farm for breakout workshops on a variety of dairy management subjects. Topics on August 3rd will include how to protect dairy farm businesses from the devastating losses that crushed the poultry industry in the face of a high pathogen in the animal population, new tools and data to evaluate the seed and feed best suited for a dairy's specific operational goals, and attendees will help design the program for the 2024 PA Dairy Summit that will best meet the needs of dairy farm businesses.

Advanced registration for the day-long program is requested; affordable registration fees of $35 for non-PDMP members and $20 for PDMP Members are discounted even more for attendees of the 2023 PA Dairy Summit held this past February. Lunch is included as well as a tour of Rohrerís kicked off by an ice cream break hosted by White Horse Construction.
