Alarm rings when water pressure is too low
Using a water pressure switch and a used bell from an old crowd gate, we installed an alarm that alerts us if the fountains in the free stall barn have low water pressure. This prevents the risk of cows losing access to water without finding out until later in the day.
The switch plumbs directly to the water line; when the pressure gets too low, it sounds the alarm. We also installed a coffee can over the bell to prevent birds from nesting on the bell.
