Dear Customer:describe photo Pfizer today announced the next steps in its review of strategic alternatives for Pfizer Animal Health. Preparations are underway to file a registration statement in the U.S. for a potential initial public offering (IPO) of a minority ownership stake in Animal Health. The standalone company will be named Zoetis™ (pronounced zo-EH-tis).

The name Zoetis has its root in zo, which is familiar in words such as zoo and zoology. Zoetis is derived from zoetic, meaning "pertaining to life." And that is what Zoetis, like Pfizer Animal Health, is about. Zoetis signals our total focus on animal health based on the fundamental understanding that animal and human health are inextricably linked. We believe the name Zoetis best captures how we contribute to advancing animal health through partnership with veterinarians, livestock producers and companion animal owners by providing innovative products and solutions that advance animal health and human well-being.

I am sure you have a number of questions about what this means for you. For now, the answer is that you will not see any changes. To begin with, we are still Pfizer Animal Health. Further, our overall objective is to make sure that any changes we need to make to run our business will cause no disruption to you. You should continue to engage with us as you always have.

Whether we are today's Pfizer Animal Health or the future Zoetis, we value our relationship. Regardless of our name, we are committed to meeting your needs today and tomorrow.

Best regards,

Clint Lewis
President
Pfizer Animal Health, U.S.
