DeLaval logoFeaturing a breakthrough design, the DeLaval Clover™ liner's thin, concave side walls and smooth, rounded corners deliver a firm, yet gentle grip of the teat throughout the milking cycle. This design helps ensures the liner stays in the proper milking position and provides excellent massage, offering the cows maximum comfort while being milked. Additionally, it provides a low and stable mouthpiece vacuum – without the possible hygiene issues and susceptibility to plugging of a vented mouthpiece liner.

"During our research, producers continuously emphasized the need for a liner which is gentle but doesn't compromise performance," said Jean-Jacques Dreier, Portfolio Director, Liners and Tubes. "DeLaval was determined to develop a liner which could offer good liner-teat contact, superior massage, and consistent collapse during pulsation."

According to a study published in 2010, mastitis costs the U.S. dairy industry up to $2 billion each year.1 With so much at stake, dairy producers cannot afford to put milking performance over udder health when choosing liners for their herd. The DeLaval Clover liner was developed to be gentle on teat ends while helping to deliver fast, complete milk-outs.

After a limited release this summer there are already more than 100,000 cows being milked by DeLaval Clover in North America. "Dairy producers who have switched to DeLaval Clover have stayed on this liner with a retention rate of more than 95 percent," said Nathan Brown, Solution Manager, Liners and Tubes.
