All-West Select Sires is pleased to announce the addition of Jesus Toro to the technician team serving northern California. Jesus relocated to northern California in early June and will represent All-West Select Sires in the eastern Modesto area. Jesus was born in Jalisco, Mexico, a small ranching town where his family raised cattle and farmed. He helped with milking and feeding cows, until his family moved to California when he was 7 years old. "We moved to the outskirts of Bakersfield and there I got involved in FFA, showing swine and participating in FFA events and activities. Following graduation from Arvin High School, I attended Bakersfield Junior College and then transferred to Fresno State, majoring in Agricultural Education with an emphasis in Animal Science."
Jesus worked at the Fresno State Dairy while attending classes and eventually learned to breed cows there. He was also a Dairy Challenge participant and focused on reproduction during contest presentations. He began work as a relief technician with All-West immediately after graduating from Fresno State two years ago. "I'm glad I joined All-West. They're a great team to work with and a company that really takes care of their employees and customers!""My goal as a technician is to do the best possible job I can do, while providing timely, efficient and helpful service to my customers. My motto has always been that if I'm going to do something, I'm going to give it my all. We have a tremendous lineup of sires to work with, and also a great variety of training programs and coaches that help us sharpen our skills and continually expand our knowledge. Since reproduction is one of the major components to the success of any dairy, I eventually plan to work with our Select Reproductive Services (SRS) Program, as well as grown my breeding service.
