DuPont Pioneer is pleased to announce a $2,000 award to the University of Minnesota Foundation to be used toward sending students to the National 4-H Dairy Conference, which will be held in conjunction with the World Dairy Expo later this month.
The National 4-H Dairy Conference is attended by high school age 4-H members from over 30 states and Canadian provinces where they learn more about the agriculture and dairy sectors, and have the ability to explore career opportunities. Erica Seitzer, marketing communication coordinator with DuPont Pioneer, sponsored the grant.
"We are proud to support the National 4-H Dairy Conference and hope students attending this year's conference learn from their experience," said Seitzer.
"We want to thank DuPont Pioneer and our other sponsors for their support. This is truly a unique experience for students to network and learn more about the opportunities in the dairy sector," said university professor of animal science Anthony Seykora.
Pioneer makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for outreach grants are given to communities where Pioneer representatives, employees and customers live and work and for efforts that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
