"We are very pleased to have Rebecca working with us this summer," said John Frey, executive director of the Center for Dairy Excellence. "She will be involved with many projects at the center and we have no doubt that her experience will allow her to be an integral part of the team."
As the communications intern, Warriner will develop a "How to Get Started in Dairy" Toolkit, a Technology in Dairy brochure and also enhance the Careers in Dairy powerpoint.
Warriner is a senior at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in animal science with an agricultural communications minor. At Penn State, she is a member of the Ag Advocates team, Dairy Science Club and the Dairy Reproduction Research Team. As a sophomore, she competed on the Penn State Louisville dairy judging team and this spring was inducted into the Gamma Sigma Delta Agriculture Honor Society.
Warriner is looking forward to beginning work at the center as well as gaining valuable experiences as she works alongside producers and industry professionals.
