Advanced Comfort Technology, Inc. of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, has hired Ron Robinson as Sales Manager and Western Region Sales Representative. In this position, Ron will be responsible for managing the regional territory representatives, and dealer support for more DCC Waterbeds representatives in the western United States and western Canada.

Robinson comes to ACT with more than 30 years' experience in the dairy industry where he was responsible for developing milk quality procedures and most recently, managing a dealership store location. Robinson has served on the National Mastitis Council teat health and education committees.
"A lot has changed in the dairy industry since I joined in 1980, including cow comfort with waterbeds. I'll be the first to admit I wasn't a fan of the support provided by the single chamber waterbed design. Dean has made significant design improvements with the addition of 2 small channels limiting water movement with the Original design of the DCC Waterbed in 2013 and a further improvement with isolating the chambers with the ISO design in 2015," Robinson said. "I'm excited to be a part of a team that is growing and learning from dairy producers. As the industry is changing with new recommendations for cow welfare, I want to be a part of developing solutions for cow comfort in the stalls, and I believe DCC Waterbeds do that for dairy cows."
Robinson learned how to milk cows on his grandfather's knee, and after serving in the US Navy he joined the dairy industry. Robinson lives in Minnesota with his wife. They have four daughters and four granddaughters, as well as 3 son-in-laws. In addition to spending time with his family, Robinson enjoys fishing, golfing, hunting and gardening.
