Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. (BIVI), a global leader in the animal health industry, today announced the promotion of Cortney Malter to marketing manager on the cattle team.

For the past three-and-a-half years, Malter held the position of associate marketing manager, cattle, at BIVI. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in agriculture.

“We are pleased to recognize Cortney for her contributions to the cattle team,” said Scott King, DVM, director of marketing for the cattle team. “She has demonstrated strong marketing ability and knowledge of the cattle industry. We are confident she will produce even more excellent results in her new role both for our customers and our company.”

Malter and her husband, Kyle Malter, DVM, a veterinary technical manager on the BIVI pet team, live in Smithville, Mo., with their two sons, John and Judd. When not cheering on her sons at sporting events and livestock shows, Malter is actively involved in volunteer opportunities within the industry and her community.

“My husband joined BIVI from private practice in 2010. I was so impressed with the company that when an appropriate role for me became available, I jumped at it,” Malter noted. “I am eager to continue strengthening the company’s excellent brands and have a positive impact on the cattle vaccine business at BIVI and on the industry.”
