Cooperative Network, the statewide trade association for cooperatives in Wisconsin and Minnesota, has named Gary Weber as the organization’s Interim President & CEO.

In this role, Weber will direct all activities of the two-state operations, working closely with cooperative directors, managers and employees.

“Cooperative Network is the largest and most diverse organization of its kind,” Weber says. “It is tasked with a unique and important endeavor. I am excited about being a part of this honorable work and supporting our members in any way I can.”

Prior to joining Cooperative Network, Weber spent the majority of his career devoted to the success of cooperatives and their surrounding communities. In his most recent role, Weber was part of the governance team with Land O’ Lakes.

“Gary has been a natural cooperative leader all of his life, beginning with his role as a general manager of his local co-op,” says Cooperative Network’s Board Chair, William Zuhlke. “We welcome his perspective and direction to our devoted team and look forward to continued success.”

Weber resides in Lino Lakes, Minn. with his wife of 41 years, Deb. Together, they have two children and four grandchildren.

Cooperative Network serves approximately 400 Wisconsin and Minnesota member-cooperatives by providing advocacy, education, public awareness, and development services to a wide variety of cooperatives including agricultural marketing and processing, credit unions, dairy, electric, Farm Credit, farm supply, health care, mutual insurance, housing, service, telecommunications, worker-owned cooperatives, and more.
