Sara Bahgat-Eggert of Clayton, Wisconsin, was randomly selected from nearly 300 sweepstakes entries to take home the Bovine Match Sweepstakes grand prize — a $2,500 gift card from Zoetis. The online sweepstakes launched in March, encouraging cattle producers to find their perfect match in parasite control for their herd.
Bahgat-Eggert is a longtime volunteer 4-H Club leader and proud family member of the fourth-generation dairy Eggert Farms, which has operated continuously for 124 years. “Our animals are part of our family and legacy. If they don’t have a proper deworming or vaccine program, it’s like your kids — they can get sick,” Bahgat-Eggert said. “This award is a blessing. It brings tears to our eyes and frees up extra money so we can purchase additional equipment as well as make upgrades to equipment when we otherwise wouldn’t be able to.”
Through the Bovine Match Sweepstakes, contestants were invited to upload their photo to find their perfect bovine match. In addition to the grand prize presented to Bahgat-Eggert, 10 participants were awarded a $100 gift card in weekly drawings.
