Geno SA, the Norwegian Red breeding organisation based in Norway, announces that Sverre Bjørnstad, Chief Executive Officer, will be stepping down from his position from January 2020. Sverre will be taking the position of Director – Inland at Innovation Norway and has committed to remain with Geno and continue his role until the end of the year to ensure a good transition period and continue to drive the organisations’ goals for this financial year.

Sverre Bjørnstad has held his position in Geno for almost 23 years. “I am certain that one of the factors which has contributed me being able to take this new opportunity at Innovation Norway is the depth of experience Geno and our subsidiaries has provided me”, says Bjørnstad. “I will take all the knowledge and insight from my time at Geno with me to my new position, and I am grateful to have been able to contribute to Geno’s growth and success during my incumbency. “
