New Holland is further extending its line-up of equipment with Tier 4A engines with the addition of five new CR Series Twin Rotor® combines and three new CX8000 Series Super Conventional combines equipped with ECOBlue™ Selective Catalytic Reduction engine technology. As a result, New Holland, as the Clean Energy Leader, offers the largest range of Tier 4A compliant products in the industry with 20 tractors in the over 100-hp T7, T8 and T9 Series range and eight combines available in North America. New Holland's Tier 4A engines offer improved power, performance and reduced fuel consumption thanks to ECOBlue™ SCR engine technology. "Today's farmers already have the technology at their disposal which will form the foundation for future Tier 4B compliance," stated Franco Fusignani, President and Chief Executive Officer of New Holland Agriculture. He continued, "This means that machine operation will remain unaltered and it enables us to place our investment into developing the next generation of agricultural machinery." Choice of stone protection New Holland has introduced an industry first: a choice between two different forms of stone protection. For producers working in extremely stony conditions, Dynamic Stone Protection™, a mechanical stone protection system, is available as an option for New Holland CR8090 and CR9090 combines. This system performs similarly to a stone trap in a conventional combine. It features a 450 mm (18-inch) diameter closed beater and stone trap module that mounts between the rotor frame and the feeder. Any stones entering the feeder are propelled into a sump below the beater. The Dynamic Stone Protection system can improve feeding performance in heavy, damp conditions. On-the-go harvesting is guaranteed as the stone trap only needs to be emptied once a day. The operator empties the sump by engaging a lever conveniently located to the left-hand side of the feeder. Also available across the entire CR range is New Holland's Advanced Stone Protection (ASP™) System, which automatically detects and ejects stones to fully protect internal threshing elements while providing unobstructed, high-capacity feeding for optimum grain quality. Opti-Spread™ system distributes straw residue evenly across full header width The powerful new Opti-Spread™ system, an option available on CR8080, CR8090 and CR9090 combines, is mounted behind the straw chopper and evenly distributes chopped straw across the full header width. It meets a wide range of spreading width requirements and can be conveniently controlled from the cab. The optional spreader uses variable speed rotating discs and adjustable deflectors to neutralize the effects of sidewinds or sloping ground. New, IntelliView™ IV display All Model Year 2012 CR and CX Series combines feature the new extra wide 10.4" IntelliView™ IV color touch screen monitor display. Although the screen size is the same as the IntelliView Plus II screen, the new display's overall dimensions are significantly smaller and it weighs less. In addition, the IntelliView IV display has direct USB connectivity and can display images from up to three camera inputs.
