For over 25 years, the Vermont Dairy Producers Conference has celebrated the dairy industry and the farmers who work tirelessly to provide milk to individuals across Vermont and beyond. This one-day conference – held Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in South Burlington, Vermont – includes innovative sessions led by industry experts and provides an opportunity to connect with more than 200 farmers from across the Northeast and representatives from more than 50 dairy-related organizations.
This year’s conference features five well-known speakers from across the country, sharing information about topics ranging from geopolitics to calf care. Dr. Kirby Rogstad from Ohio State University will provide a presentation on hot diets and their impact on the gut. Jacob Shapiro from Cognitive Investments will discuss Geopolitics and the future of American agriculture. Dr. Ryan Breuer from University of Wisconsin-Madison will give a presentation on calf care. Dr. Andy Halloway from Elanco Animal Health will host a practical conversation about dairy carbon credits. Finally, attendees will hear from motivational speaker Bruce Vincent.
“I look forward to attending this conference every year,” said Keith Sprague, owner of Sprague Ranch in Brookfield, VT. “This is a great dairy conference with nationally known speakers, supported by local sponsors.”
The Vermont Dairy Producers Conference also includes the 2024 Vermont Milk Quality Awards, presented by the Vermont Dairy Industry Association.
