The 61st All-American Dairy Show and Premier National Junior Shows, scheduled for September at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, will feature 11 nationally and internationally recognized judges.
Abe Light, of Argyle, Ny., will place the Premier National Junior Ayrshire and Milking Shorthorn Shows. Abe has more than 25 years of experience in the registered Holstein industry. He was introduced to dairy cattle in high school and worked extensively as a fitter across the United States and Canada before transitioning to commercial dairy management. Since returning to New York in 2013, Light has specialized in marketing and sales, assisting numerous breeders in acquiring high-quality cattle and genetics. His judging experience includes multiple local, state, and national breed shows, and he co-bred the 2022 Unanimous All-American Red & White Spring Calf. Light and his wife, Lauren, with their daughter Summer, continue to remain active in show cattle development and plan to expand their on-farm facilities.
Callum McKinven, of Canton de Hatley, Qc., is set to judge the All-American Ayrshire Show and the Premier National Junior Brown Swiss Show. Callum co-owns Lookout Holsteins and Jerseys with his wife, Katherine, and their three daughters, where they raise over 200 head and milk 30 cows. They have garnered many All-Canadian and All-American awards. McKinven has judged in over 31 countries and at every major North American dairy show, including 14 times at World Dairy Expo and multiple classes at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. He has served as official judge for both the 2008 and 2012 World Holstein Conference Shows and has officiated in Japan, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. A past recipient of the Curtis Clark Award (2000), McKinven is also highly regarded for his mentorship of youth and aspiring judges through judging schools worldwide.
Darin Hill, of Cattaraugus, Ny., will sort the All-American Brown Swiss Show. Darin owns and operates Hill’s Valley Farm with his wife, Katie, and their four children. The family milks 140 registered Brown Swiss and Holsteins and has received over 50 All-American nominations. Darin has judged Brown Swiss state shows in Wisconsin, Kentucky, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida; the Southeast National Jr Brown Swiss Show in Louisville, Northeast National show at the Big E, Southwestern National in Stillwater, AgroExpo in Colombia, and Reyes International Expo in Peru. Prior to returning to the farm, he was the sales manager for New Generation Genetics for 3 years. He has served on the National show committee for Brown Swiss since 2014. In 2019 Darin and Katie were selected as the Outstanding Young Breeders by the National Brown Swiss Association. In his spare time, Darin enjoys coaching youth Baseball and Basketball.
Herby Lutz, of Chester, Sc., will sort the All-American Guernsey Show. Herby serves as the Jersey Development Manager for Select Sires, a role he has held since 2008. Alongside his wife, Amanda, and son, Hobbs, he operates Her-Man Jerseys at Sunny Day Farm, a herd of elite Jerseys and Guernseys that has produced numerous All-Americans and have marketed several bulls for A.I. Lutz’s judging credentials span more than 20 years and include the National Jersey Jug Futurity, All-American Jersey and Junior Jersey Shows, National Junior Guernsey Show, and Western National Guernsey and Jersey Shows. He has judged internationally in Australia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, and the Isle of Jersey. A former recipient of the American Jersey Cattle Association’s Young Jersey Breeder Award, Lutz remains one of few individuals to win both the national Guernsey and Jersey youth achievement contests.
Lars Sivesind of Waukon, Ia. will serve as the Associate Judge for the All-American Guernsey Show. Lars and his wife, Melissa, have two daughters, Clara and Andie. They reside in Waukon, where Lars is a District Sales Manager for Select Sires Member Cooperative. He is also active on his family’s farm, Prairie Moon Guernseys. The Sivesind family enjoys exhibiting at the Iowa State Fair and World Dairy Expo, where they have shown numerous All-Americans. Lars has judged county fairs, the Illinois State Fair Guernsey Show, and the Midwest Guernsey Show.
Jean-Philippe Charest, of Saint Alexandre, Qc., will judge the All-American Jersey Show. Charest operates Ferme Charest 2001 Inc., where his family milks Ayrshires, Holsteins, and Jerseys.Charest has judged several prominent Canadian and U.S. events, including Le Supreme Laitier, the Ayrshire Summer Spectacular, Maritime Fall Show, and Expo St-Hyacinthe. A professional fitter for over 12 years, he has traveled to 10 countries and worked with multiple champion animals. He and his wife, Annick, have four children and remain active in international showmanship and cattle development.
Jenny Thomas, of North Lewisburg, Oh., will judge the All-American Milking Shorthorn Show and the Premier National Junior Red & White Show. Jenny and her husband, Nathan, along with their children Colton, Kendall, and Camryn, co-own and operate Triple-T Holsteins. Their herd includes over 100 registered Holsteins and Jerseys, with 35 currently milking. Triple-T houses and develops the Vierra Jersey Show herd along with caring for their own herd of elite Holsteins and Jerseys. The farm has produced over 200 All-American and All-Canadian nominations. Triple-T has raised many champions, including Stoney Point Joel Bailey EX-96, the 2024 Supreme Champion at World Dairy Expo.Jenny has officiated the Red and White Holstein Show at the 2025 NY Spring Show, Holsteins and Red and Whites at 2024 Western National Holstein in Utah, National Holstein Jr. Show at the All American in Harrisburg in 2023, Jersey and Red and Shows at the 2023 UK Borderway Show, the Jerseys and Holsteins at IN State Fair, the Jersey and Red and White shows at WI State Show, the MD State Holstein Show, judged multiple breeds at state shows in Utah, Pennsylvania, New York, and in California. In addition, Jenny has served as associate judge for the All-American Jersey Junior Show and served as associate judge for the Eastern National Holstein Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Jenny now works as a marketing coordinator for Vierra Dairy, D&D Ingredients, and Swanson Family businesses while remaining active on the farm and in genetic promotion.
Matt Hawbaker, of Clear Spring, Md., will sort the Premier National Junior Holstein Show. Matt owns and operates Interstate Heifer Care Service and co-manages the First Impressions at the Interstate Sale. A former professional fitter, Hawbaker has exhibited and prepared multiple All-American and Reserve All-American cattle. He is a semen distributor for AG 3 and Jetstream Genetics and has judged numerous national events including the All-American Ayrshire Show, NAILE’s Red & White Holstein Show, and the Ohio Spring Dairy Expo Holstein Show. His resume also includes officiating at the Wisconsin Championship Red & White Show and serving as Associate Judge of the International Ayrshire Show.
Phillip Topp, of Botkins, Oh., returns to Harrisburg to place the Eastern National Fall Holstein Show and Premier National Junior Guernsey Show. He and his wife, Carrie, own a small herd of 40 registered dairy cows representing multiple breeds. Topp has been highly active in the show ring, exhibiting numerous champions at the Ohio State Fair, World Dairy Expo, and the North American International Livestock Exposition. Phillip co-owns a fabricating and maintenance business specializing in stainless steel TIG welding. He and Carrie have three children: Aubree, Aiden, and Alaina.Topp has judged several county, district, and state fairs, as well as international Brown Swiss shows in Peru and Mexico. His resume includes officiating the Jersey Jug at NAILE in 2019 and the Guernsey Show at NAILE in 2021. At the World Dairy Expo, he was the associate judge in 2016 for the Jersey International show and in 2021 for the Brown Swiss Show. He was the official judge in 2019 for the International Ayrshire Show, in 2022 for the Guernsey Show, in 2023 for the international Red and White show, and in 2024 for the Brown Swiss Show. In 2024, he judged the All-American Milking Shorthorn Show and the Premier National Junior Holstein Show at the All-American Dairy Show.
Scott Fisher of Hollidaysburg, Pa. will serve as Associate Judge for the Premier National Guernsey Show. Scott operates Big Guns Cattle Co. with his son, Madison. Together, they have bred and sold over 25 All-American nominations and shown champions at World Dairy Expo, NAILE, the All-American Dairy Show, and New York Spring Show. Scott has judged in Pennsylvania and Maryland, including Maryland Field Day, and in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He has also taught cattle preparation workshops at Penn State and enjoys working with youth, recognizing them as the future of the dairy industry.
Jason Zimmerman, of Avon, Ny., will serve as the Associate Judge for the Eastern National Fall Holstein Show. Jason has extensive experience fitting and exhibiting All-Americans across all breeds. A Virginia Tech graduate, Zimmerman was part of the 2010 national champion 4-H judging team and the 2011 reserve champion collegiate judging team. His judging assignments include numerous local, regional, and state shows along the Eastern Seaboard. Zimmerman currently works as a Dairy Nutrition Consultant with Holtz Nelson Consulting and owns cattle with his wife, Kaila.
Ron Mosser, of Geneva, In., will place the Premier National Junior Jersey Show. Ron is a longtime leader in the Jersey breed, having judged the National Jersey Jug Futurity (2024), numerous World Dairy Expo classes, and the Eastern States Exposition. He has also officiated internationally in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Canada, and Brazil. His family has long exhibited at top shows with their Pleasant Ridge Jerseys. For over two decades, Mosser has served the American Jersey Cattle Association as a Type Traits Appraiser and Area Representative. He is also widely respected as a ringman and sales representative across the country.
Tyler Reynolds, of Corfu, Ny., will judge the All-American Red and White Show. Tyler Reynolds farms in Corfu, NY with his family at Reyncrest Farm. They milk 1,600 Holsteins and farm 2,700 acres. The Reynolds also have 40 head of show cattle. Reyncrest has been named premier breeder or exhibitor 6 times at National Holstein Shows in the last 5 years. At World Dairy Expo they were the premier breeder and exhibitor of the Holstein heifer show in 2019 and premier exhibitor in 2021, along with premier breeder at the heifer show at the Royal Winter Fair in 2019. Reyncrest has bred, owned, or sold 40 All American Nominations in the past 5 years in the Holstein, Red & White and Jersey breeds. Tyler & Kelly along with his siblings Andy and Mackenzie were named HAUSA Outstanding Young Breeders in 2021. Tyler was the associate judge for the 2021 International Holstein Junior Show at World Dairy Expo and has judged in NY, PA, WI, New England, FL, MI, ME, CA, IA, and Ontario. Tyler judged the All-American Jersey Show and Premier National Junior Holstein Show in 2022. He and his wife Kelly have 2 daughters, Cannyn and Saylor.
