Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ian Lokai to Account Manager. In this role, Ian will be responsible for a direct sales route, serving both dairy and beef customers in southwestern Ohio, a territory previously served by Dan Pyles, who is retiring after 30 years.
Ian began his career with SSMC four years ago as a relief technician and developed his own route. Ian served the member-owner dairy producers ranging from 25 to over 4,000 cows. He also had a growing list of beef customers.
His skills also include a deep understanding of reproductive protocols, PCDART and DairyComp herd
During his time as a student at The Ohio State University, Ian worked on a nearby dairy, gaining valuable herd health experience as well. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, he continued to assist in their dairy and cropping enterprises.
